The 15th edition hosted 25 thousand visitors all continents
São Paulo, May 31st, 2010 — The 15th edition of FCE Pharma and FCE Cosmetique, promoted by NürnbergMesse Brasil, from May 25th to the 27th proved the importance of the event as the stage for new trends, business and networking meetings for the country and for South America. During the three-day event at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo, the fair hosted over 25 thousand professionals from the sector. “At the 15th edition, we proved to be pioneers and experts in bringing the main innovations and trends in the sector to Brazil. Our exhibition area was bigger; we hosted more international companies and also receive visitors from every continent”, commented Ligia Amorim, General Director at NürnbergMesse Brasil.

The main events in Latin America celebrate 15 years of success in an exhibition area of approximately 30,000 square meters, which is an 8% growth compared to last year.

Exhibitors

For Francisco Telmo, Director of Unichem, FCE Cosmetique is the meeting place to reinforce relationships with customers, meet new ones and present trends and product innovations.  “The event influences our business in a positive way, since it provides us with new contacts, partnerships and long-lasting projects.”

Flávio Polo, Commercial Manager of the Fine Chemistry Division of MCassab, believes that the fair is the most important one among all the events promoted in the cosmetics sector in Brazil. “The fair allows for intense integration between exhibitors, customers, researchers, and the media, which publish the innovations and trends in the sector. Many positive exhibitor aspects can be highlighted, such as brand promotion, closing business deals, market stabilization and commercial integration, among others. And for all these reasons, FCE has proven to be an essential event for the cosmetics sector over the past 15 years.” According to Sérgio Cabral, Sales Manager of AVI & Pharma Latin America, FCE Pharma is the doorway to establishing a relationship with a target public and to do business with them. “We have participated in the fair for the seventh year in a row, because it gives us the chance to have a global economic view of the market. For us, taking part in FCE is an opportunity to expand business in South America, interact with the national market in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics segments and also present trends and innovations to the markets.”

Parallel Events

Lectures by the Health Ministry and Anvisa confirmed the importance of the events targeted at the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries at the FCE Pharma and FCE Cosmetique congresses.

In partnership with the Brazilian Cosmetology Association (ABC), the 24th edition of the Brazilian Cosmetology Congress took place, addressing the main challenges that industries, professionals and researchers face in developing the sector. The meeting counted on the presence of over 1,000 participants.

“The main goal was to encourage creative and innovative solutions in favor of policies and development of ethical cosmetics. The partnership with NürnbergMesse Brasil is highly important, since we are in the sector’s main fair that joins all the market professionals in one place, which boosts generation of new business”, said Alberto Kurebayashi, President of the ABC, Brazilian Cosmetology Association. Highlighting the FCE Pharma schedule, the 8th edition of the Pharma congress and the Technical and Scientific Pharmaceutical Production Congress, which were developed in partnership with Edições VR, discussed new technologies and trends in the market.  The meeting joined national and international speakers with more than 800 participants at 45 seminars.
